Web16 May 2008 · reinstall the carburetor and setup your idle system. Before you start the engine, examine the fuel bowl side of the throttle body. Hopefully you'll see a little tube, covered by a rubber plug. This vacuum port connects with a passage in the throttle body that 'sees' manifold vacuum. Web9 Dec 2024 · It seems like the Sniper is trying to control idle and closing the IAC to bring RPM down. But at that time the RPM are at 2200 down to 1800. So idle control shouldn't be active correct? Is correcting the lean spike as simple as adding fuel to that area of the table since it's in deceleration and not Learning at that point?

The stumble happens around 1200rpm. If I’m just easing around and run the rpm up to 1800 in 2nd then change to 3rd the rpms drop to 1200. Web18 Apr 2024 · One thing I noticed is that with any partial throttle, the timing control readout shows the timing going to the "cruise" setting. Timing settings are 15 degrees at idle, 30 WOT, 32 cruise. One other thing I noticed was it was very hard to start this morning, like it has too much timing. But settings are 15° at cranking, and 18° at idle. It also felt like the battery was dead ish, but it checked out at a solid 12.9V at rest. Going to try less Cranking Timing.

If your idle screws are 3 - 4 turns out, good bet this is your problem. Side note: The Holley BLUE anti stick gaskets SUCX they emitt particals after they get wet for a while.
