Webb11 juli 2024 · Check for exhaust rubbing against something. Check body mounts for loose or missing rubber bushings. Check gas tank and filler pipe for tightness. Be sure spare tire is very secure. Check for stuff rolling under your back seat. Put some weight in the bed to see if it changes for better or worse. Test drove and duplicated noise at lower steering column. Survey faults with ISTA and work test plan for steering noise. Per test, removed lower dash panel and inspect. Located noise at steering shaft collar bushing.

You may need to remove some of the gear oil if it is full. If it has leaked out, evidenced by the layer of oily dirt, then you can just squirt it in.

All of a sudden out of nowhere (not gradually building up to it) the car began making a grinding/rubbing sound like someone stretching and contorting a fistful of plastic. It only makes this noise when turning the car right while accelerating. Even at a slow crawl and slighty turning right it makes this noise. Im thinking it must be something to do with the brake pads rubbing on the disc.
