WebJan 30, 2024 · The tire being used for this review is the Maxxis Rekon 29" x 2.4WT with EXO casing and and 3C Maxx Terra rubber compound. I will be mounting the Rekon as a rear tire only and will be using a Maxxis DHR II tire up front. Because of the Rekon's smaller overall lug size, I thought it would be better suited in the rear. WebDhr would only be a marginally faster rolling rolling if both are 2.3 wide. Middle knobs on DHF are longer so there is more traction assisting the side knobs in turns, the wider center tread knobs on the DHR are there for braking traction. I would go Aggressor 2.3 rear, DHF 2.3 front if you’re concerned about a better rolling tire on rear.
